Sometimes the relationship you want to work on is with a parent, an adult child, a sibling, a friend or another important person in your life.

I work with adults who want to come to therapy together to better understand and work on their relationship — whether there’s longstanding hurt or conflict, communication has become difficult, you’ve grown apart, or something has happened that you’re struggling to move through.

Sometimes, the relationship that needs attention isn’t with a partner.

Not every important relationship is romantic.

Different relationships. Different reasons for coming.

You might come with a parent or adult child when the relationship has become strained or difficult to navigate. You might be siblings carrying years of hurt, resentment or misunderstanding. Or you might be friends trying to repair something that happened, navigate a change in the relationship, or find a way back to each other.

Sometimes there’s a clear issue to work through. Sometimes it’s harder to name — you just know that conversations keep going badly, old patterns keep resurfacing, or the relationship doesn't feel the way you want it to.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what needs to change.

We’ll start by understanding what has brought you both to therapy, what has been happening between you, and what you would like to be different.

From there, we’ll work out together what feels useful — whether that’s a focused conversation about something specific or continuing to meet over a number of sessions..

What to expect.

You’ve thought about it.
Now let’s talk about it.
